There is a sentence spoken very rarely by those of us who have spent many of our adult years reviewing children's toys. It's a statement delivered always with a thorough understanding of the sentence's gravity. It is this: "I want one of these!" The Toy Story Nerf Blastin' Zurg, based on the not-terribly-threatening bad guy from the Toy Story movies, earns that distinction and it's just a hoot. Load up the three included Nerf darts in his weapon, pull up Zurg's head, and press down quickly. The darts shoot across the room. And it just cracked us up every time we tried it. Yes, the darts might get lost. And yes, the darts don't even shoot all that far. But that earnest little trajectory is the best that this bad guy, consigned to battling a cowboy and an arrogant spaceman, can do. Surely there are things in this world funnier than a super villain who must fire weapons by extending his own neck and then slamming his head down, but we can't think of any. --Charlie Williams
